Meanwhile, Dixi Polytool still produces for the watch and jewelry industry, but has long since made a name for itself as an excellent supplier of precision tools made of solid carbide, PCD and diamond, and additionally serves the microtechnology, medical technology, automotive and aerospace sectors. Due to its geographical location, Dixi Polytool also grew up with the local watchmaking industry. Thus, over many years, a strongly developing watchmaking art emerged, especially around Geneva, the city after the French border in the south of Switzerland. These brought with them not only a great deal of expertise in wearable watches, but also the skills of goldsmithing and silversmithing. At that time, around 20,000 Huguenots fled from France to the Swiss Confederation. The origins of today's watchmaking in Switzerland date back to the 17th century. Especially when it comes to luxury watches, Switzerland is at the top of the list, with numerous manufacturers.
